Local Jobs is a collaborative place-based initiative to ensure local labour markets work well for all Australians, in partnership with business and communities. Local Jobs supports tailored, local approaches to skilling individuals to meet local workforce needs.
Job Coordinators are on the ground in 51 Employment Regions and bring together local employment and skills services, employers and community organisations to connect people to training, job opportunities and support services. Thefy focus on connecting, collaborating and building capacity within the community to help meet local workforce needs. Each Job Coordinator has access to flexible funding to support small employment activities and collaborative community initiatives.
