The Los Angeles Medicinal Psychedelics Society (LAMPS) is a community of visionaries, researchers, psychonauts, curious explorers, passionate healers and other medical professionals looking to expand the horizons of their practice.
Founded by Brad Adams, PhD, in 2015, LAMPS has been holding in-person and virtual sessions featuring talks given by psychedelic experts and medical professionals. In 2018, LAMPS hosted its university-based presentation of psychedelic information at UCLA in Los Angeles, which was the first of its kind since the 1960s. This was a groundbreaking two-day psychedelic symposium featuring revered and world-renown elders, leaders, healers, and teachers. In 2021, we followed with an ambitious virtual conference exploring mysteries such as the light and the shadow of the exploding psychedelic renaissance.
In our continuous presentation of educational discussions, LAMPS strives to inform and empower both the medical and general community about the vast potential benefits of psychedelic medicines, as well as the need for best practices and careful post-use integration. We seek to present this knowledge and insights by leading experts and thought leaders in the field to help protect, nurture, and make sense of the continuously-evolving psychedelic healing space.
Team member, Paul Lisy, a documentary filmmaker, is spearheading documentary projects for LAMPS exploring topics such as psychedelics and death, psychedelics and addiction recovery, as well as psychedelic churches.
