Lucia Domenica is a multi-time author who was born into a migrant family on the fringes of Sydney. From early on, Lucia learned that survival was rarely simple, and so challenge must become her mantra. Engaged at fourteen and married at seventeen, her life unfolded through love, loss, reinvention and extraordinary twists she never saw coming.
Leaving school at fifteen, Lucia educated herself through experience, writing on a blue Smith Corona typewriter long before she believed she could call herself an author. For more than thirty years she has worked as a children's educator while quietly carrying a past that included years in the sex industry and an unexpected connection to four separate murder investigations.
When she is not writing, Lucia paints, creates, and continues telling the stories most people are too afraid to tell.
