I have been practicing yoga for approximately 25 years and in 2018 I completed a 350 hour hatha yoga teacher training with Kate Pell. I continue my learning and am always exploring information about the mind, body, breath, sound and how this relates everyday life and to yoga practice. I have also completed, in addition to many short courses, a 50 hour yin yoga training with Bernie Clarke.
Most recently, I completed a Stott Pilates matwork course and look forward to incorporating Pilates principles into classes that I teach.
I love teaching diverse styles of yoga and have a particular interest in embedding a somatic approach to working with people in pilates, slow flow yoga and yin/restorative classes.
Up until 2020 I was working primarily in community education and facilitation working with people of all ages, and cultural backgrounds around issues of environment and sustainability.
Now, as I continue to develop my yoga & Pilates practice, I am always looking for opportunities to learn from and collaborate with others.
I endeavour to make my classes as accessible as possible for all, both in the physical practice and in cost. I love working with diverse groups including people over 50; individuals experiencing psychosocial conditions and their carers/family; multicultural communities and survivors of domestic violence.
Please get in contact with me if you would like to have a chat about the Pilates & yoga sessions I offer or if you would like to explore opportunities to collaborate.
