Manilla Community Renewable Energy Inc. (MCRE) is formed from a group of volunteers from the Manilla area, who see the potential for community owned renewable energy projects and community collaboration.
Since 2019, MCRE is holds the an annual community festival; Renewable Manilla and famous 100 Mile Dinner.
Renewable Manilla aims to
- Offer time and space for folks to get together
- Celebrate local food, music and have fun
- Create space for creative and STEM workshops
- Provide a platform for new ideas and approaches
- Support local producers and projects - including the Manilla Solar Project
Festivities include 100 Mile Dinner, Yoga, Creative & STEM workshops, Clothing Swap and more!
The event will be held on the Manilla Showground and Pavilion
