Margaret Hogan is a contemporary Australian artist based in Bathurst (Wiradjuri Country).
Having worked in the creative industries all her life – in television and radio production, journalism, copywriting and graphic design – Margaret is now pursuing her first love, painting, as a full time practicee.
She has studied with some of Australia’s most respected art educators and painters at the National Art School in Sydney, attended workshops throughout New South Wales and camel trekked with paints in hand in the South Australian desert.
Margaret has just completed a residency at the Eramboo Artist Environment and has been selected as the 2025 Narra Bukulla Artist in Residence. She has been a finalist in the 2025 Calleen Art Prize, 2018 Kedumba Drawing Award and the 2018 NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize.
