Meet Marion Zahra, a dynamic entrepreneur, optical dispenser, and creative force behind multiple hats—including graphic designer, artist, cook, and mother. When she’s not running her business, Maisoń Mazaking, or working at Shellharbour Optical Superstore, she’s balancing life’s strings like a pro—except when it comes to dancing, of course!
Marion is motivated to join Stars of Wollongong Dance for Cancer in honor of her close friend Katherine Hawthorne, who passed away in 2023. Katherine was a true inspiration, embodying strength and resilience, qualities that Marion now carries with her. She is also inspired by the many cancer survivors in her life, including relatives, friends, and colleagues.
While her creativity and bubbly personality are her strengths, Marion admits she’s nervous about putting herself out there and dancing in front of a crowd. But with a little encouragement from her son and some old-school hip hop jams, she’s ready to hit the floor!
A self-proclaimed dance rookie, Marion hasn’t been on stage since high school but is excited to return to the dance scene. Her dream dance partners? Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, or Ciara—watch out, Wollongong!
