Mary grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the 1970's-1980's. She went off to attend college at Millersville University in Central Pennsylvania in 1981. Mary was a French major and spent her Junior Year Abroad attending the Universite de Montpellier in the Midi Region of southern France. Travel and love of language and cultures have shaped her world view ever since. From New York City to Aspen, Colorado, Newport Beach, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada, to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, through entrepreneurial business ventures and more travels, she finally landed in Telluride, Colorado in 1997, where she became a real estate agent and business owner for 25 years. Introduced to yoga in the early 1990's in California, the practice immediately resonated with her, and it took various shapes over the years, waxing and waning until 2018, when she faced a pivotal moment. She decided to separate from her former life and business partner. It was this critical moment of transition when she chose to reconnect more deeply with her yoga practice and decided to become a yoga instructor in 2022. She completed her 200 Hour Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. Mary has been teaching yoga since then in private practice and at various studios and venues in the Philadelphia area. Mary also went on to became a Level 3 Reiki Practitioner in 2023. She works with the volunteer Reiki Team at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and also has a private Reiki practice. Her non-traditional path has provided her with many life experiences. She has a wider lens from which to view the world, an open heart and the ability to create space for anyone interested in going back to the basics, by seeking stillness and reflection through breath and movement, in order to reconnect to their authentic selves. If none of this makes sense to you, please come and breathe anyway! Move and relax and find peace through a beautiful practice in a beautiful place!
