Native Mushroom Magic 馃崉
Mushroom growing doesn't have to be rocket science. At Matariki Mushrooms, we turn it into a simple, low-tech craft that anyone who's confident in the kitchen can master.
Our hands-on workshops introduce you to a variety of native Aotearoa strains, from pekepeke-kiore (a native cousin of lion's mane) to native oyster and native shiitake, along with a range of growing techniques, from easy home grow kits to logs and liquid culture. You'll learn to turn everyday materials into nutritious food and build real food resilience, right in your own backyard or kitchen. We also share how fungi can help heal the land through mycoremediation.
