I have been hairdressing for 21 years and started as a hairdresser in Cardiff, UK. I worked for a big hair company called Saks. My time at Saks was great; I had been a finalist in some hair competitions. After about 5 years there, an Aveda salon opened in the city. It was a beautiful salon, and I loved what I had heard of Aveda before, so I was intrigued to go in. The team was so amazing, and that began my journey into Aveda. From there, many education classes were taken at the Aveda Institute in London, a Master Jam trip to Berlin, and completed my Aveda Ambassador Program. I was set up for success down under with this beautiful brand. For the last 10 years, I have had the privilege to educate Aveda salons here in Australia and more recently look after education.
Get to Know Me Question: What is your favourite aspect of working with Aveda products?
Answer: I love working with Aveda Products because I know that they are not only great for me but the guests. I feel lucky to have such an infinite shade palette to work with when using Aveda colour, I can be truly expressive.
Why I Love to Educate It is an amazing feeling when someone loves their hair; however, nothing is more rewarding than being able to teach someone a new skill and see their confidence increase.
