Matt Frequences is an unhinged, disabled DJ who has chosen to forge a new and unique path through music.
Growing up with electronic music and deeply passionate about the power of music to tell stories, Matt has fused the two to create an entirely new style of performance: The Rave RPG.
With a deep love of performing and voice acting, a passion for creating musical experiences that move people’s emotions, and a burning desire to bring chaos to every corner they walk into, Matt stands behind the deck with the Giant Inflatable Rave Dice ready to ask you to decide what path to take in their adventures.
Matt enjoys listening to Drum n Bass, Acid Hardcore, Hands Up, Eurobeat and many more genres aside - but their favourite genre is video game music remixes, particularly those from the Amiga and Sega Mega Drive eras, and anything with a chippy flavour to it. Expect to hear a lot of these sort of songs at a Matt Frequencies show!
Recently Matt has been obsessed with Undertale and Deltarune, but historically has enjoyed Sonic the Hedgehog, Unreal Tournament, Portal, Final Fantasy (VII remake, X/X-2 and XV), Kingdom Hearts, Flashback, Zool, Lemmings, Worms and many, many more besides. Matt pulls inspiration from these games and choose your own adventure stories such as the Asterix adventure novels for the Rave RPG mechanics. Take cover!
In a past life, Matt Frequencies was a mechanic, and designed and printed 3d parts for automotive upgrades. Expect to see many random knickknacks and sidequest projects pop up at shows - and maybe even take a few home, if you are participating.
