We bring together people with lived experience of mental illness and brain researchers to open new shared understandings of the brain and human behaviour.
We aim to break down barriers and create supportive spaces to transform lives and inspire new research, through the combined insights of lived experience and the revelations of scientific process.
One of the ways we do this is through our SYNERGIES program:
This program brings together people with lived experience of mental illness (PLEX) and brain and behaviour researchers. Unlike traditional research, SYNERGIES uses ‘Co-operative Inquiry,’ where PLEX are active partners, not subjects. Together they explore brain and behaviour research topics, through regular meetings.
Meeting for Minds is a Not-for-Profit organisation operating in Australia and Switzerland.
