Participants will explore the essentials of proposal writing, including how to clearly communicate project goals, set achievable objectives, and develop a compelling narrative to attract support. The session will also cover practical elements like budget planning, demonstrating impact, and aligning proposals with the priorities of funding bodies. With an emphasis on simplifying the application process, the workshop aims to provide artists with the confidence and know-how to pursue funding successfully and bring their creative ideas to life.

Your facilitator:
Melania Jack is the RASN officer for Cairns, Yarrabah, Tablelands, Cassowary Coast, Etheridge and Croydon. Jack brings over 15 years of experience as an artist, project manager and workshop facilitator. Their multidisciplinary practice spans video, sound, performance, installation, and projection. Melania has exhibited work locally, nationally and internationally and is one half of the award-winning duo The Ironing Maidens. With a Master’s degree in Creative Industries, Jack is deeply committed to fostering opportunities for regional artists.
