Melbourne Balfolk is a community dance group born from a deep love of folk dancing. We want to bring French and European dances to the people of Melbourne, and get more people on the dance floor.
Our beginner-friendly classes are held at Fairfield Uniting Church (Coracle Hall), every Thursday night 7:30-9:30PM. Melbourne Balfolk is a beautifully inclusive space - during partner dances, you are encouraged to dance both Lead and Follow. There is no presumption of gender in these roles.
