'a contemplative, connecting and creative Christian community'
We are a loving work-in-progress
Our community is made-up of people of various ages, gifts and backgrounds, seeking to share new life in our changing contemporary world.
We value the inclusiveness and generous flexibility of our Anglican tradition, open to the vibrant grace of God alive in many diverse people and insights today.
Building on our heritage
The Milton Anglican community is founded on generations of love and prayer. We therefore especially honour both the Indigenous people of our area, and their profound stewardship, and the later-comers of faith who helped shape more recent life and spirit in Brisbane. We are grateful for all elders who walk with us and seek to draw on their wisdom.
Responding to God's 'new thing'
Grounded in the deep wisom of our faith tradition, our community seeks to share God's love in an ever-changing environment. As an inclusive and affirming church, we therefore seek to cherish the young, newcomers and outsiders to our community as people from whom we can learn and who can help us grow into the 'new creation' into which we are all called afresh.
Anglican ways
We are delighted to share cooperative relationships with many different groups and faith traditions, but are blessed in being part of the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland (Diocese of Brisbane).
