MindTribes exists to create an anti-racist culture that is inclusive of race and cultural diversity. The Founders of MindTribes, Div & Vick Pillay are both South African born, raised and educated under apartheid; beginning their professional lives in post-apartheid workplaces in the mid-late 1990’s. Fast forward to the early 2000’s, through to 2011, they migrated to Australia, restarted careers, climbed leadership ladders, often as the first people of colour in teams.
In 2012, they started MindTribes out of the lived experience (their own and others) of exclusion in workplaces for their age, race, culture and gender. MindTribes' diversity consultants bring this invaluable perspective to help organisations foster inclusive environments that truly embrace diversity.
Combining their expertise in both people and business, MindTribes offers a unique proposition – behaviourally solving for exclusion, creating an impact on the individual (voice & value) and organisation (brand & business metrics).
Under their leadership, MindTribes has grown since 2012 to an award-winning business: TechDiversity Award Finalist, 2019; Westpac Businesses of Tomorrow Winner, 2018; Telstra Business Award Finalist, 2016.
MindTribes also has a social footprint with the creation of Culturally Diverse Women & Workforces that works at inclusion at the intersection of gender, culture and age (career-life stages). Div & Vick give 10% of MindTribes new deals to Plan International, to empower girls globally and are named, Plan International Ambassadors.
