Mixed Metaphors Productions is an artist collective that crosses mediums and cultural boundaries to create Charlotte-based immersive theatre. We were formed in 2020 to create our first production, FixaPlate, activating our passion for devised theatre and community collaboration. Heading into 2025, Mixed Metaphors Productions is a three-time Critic’s Pick Best in The Nest, including Best Immersive Theatre Production and Art with a Purpose. We have also been honored twice by Queen City Nerve as the Reader’s Pick Best in the nest, including Best Actress by our Resident Actor Ceci McNeill and Best Local Theatre Production. Mixed Metaphors Productions has partnered with local non-profits to raise over $4,000.00 to support their work to make a better Charlotte. Our collective has created paid opportunities for 30 Charlotte Artist through our work spanning mediums like theatre, visual and installation art, music, and the culinary arts
