We focus on how learning and education can be personally and collectively liberating. Seeking to build bridging spaces for expansive and hopeful learning in troubling times, the Monash Liberatory Practices Collective (MLPC) is an emerging intergenerational collective of academics, students, alumni, and practitioners who began exploring the meaning of "liberatory" education and learning praxis in our work in February 2024.
We explore the connections between pedagogy (the theory of learning and teaching) and praxis (action) in formal, informal, and marginal spaces (e.g., universities, schools, refugee camps, workplaces, prisons, social movements, families, communities, encampments, and friendships).
