Mothers’ Group is a community-based initiative of Nurturing Beginnings Inc., supporting mothers and babies through connection, practical guidance and meaningful community during the first year of parenthood.
We offer fully funded, professionally facilitated 10-week Mothers’ Group programs for mothers and babies aged 0–12 months.
Our groups are intentionally small and consistent. The same mothers come together each week, allowing relationships to develop naturally over time and creating the safety, intimacy, depth and trust that can be difficult to build in larger or drop-in settings.
Our aim is to help mothers build more than a weekly activity. We want families to develop genuine friendships, local connections and a support system that can continue well beyond the program itself.
Weekly sessions provide space to connect with other local mums, share the experiences and challenges of early parenthood, explore responsive caregiving and infant development, and build confidence in understanding and supporting your baby.
A limited number of fully funded places are available in each location each term. Unfortunately, where demand exceeds available capacity, we may not be able to offer an ongoing place to every family who attends a trial session. Keeping groups small and consistent helps protect the sense of safety, belonging and connection that sits at the heart of the program.
Alongside our weekly groups, our free Parent Education & Guest Speaker Series connects families with trusted professionals for practical, evidence-informed sessions covering topics such as infant sleep, feeding, development, communication, play, postpartum wellbeing and family relationships.
