The Murrumbidgee Health and Knowledge Precinct (MHKP) is a collaborative partnership that brings together partners from health, education, research, industry, government and community organisations to address regional challenges and improve health and wellbeing outcomes for our community. It recognises the unique challenges faced by rural and regional communities and leverages collective expertise, resources and networks to develop place-based solutions that respond to local needs and priorities. MHKP's partner organisations work together to leverage opportunities that will strengthen local healthcare and education systems, support workforce development and drive innovation
The MHKP has three key focus areas:
Education and Workforce - growing regional workforce capacity through designing and providing innovative education and training pathways to "grow our own workforce" and meet local demands
Research and Innovation - enhancing research opportunities locally and fostering an innovation mind-set between partners to drive practical, evidence-based solutions tailored to rural health needs
One System Integration - supporting better integration of our regional healthcare systems so our people experience seamless, patient-centred care
