I’m Myfanwy (Min) Hunter – a musician, researcher, and educator whose work encompasses performance, sound, and learning into deeply engaging experiences.
As a musician, I work with viola, voice, and viola da gamba, collaborating with dancers, theatre makers, visual artists, and ensembles. My musical palette spans Early and Baroque music through to New and Experimental sound practices.
As an educator, I’m Head of Music at Sophia Mundi Steiner & IB World School, where I lead a values-based music program. I teach IBDP Music, direct the advanced string ensemble and Secondary choir, and work one-on-one with violin and viola students. I’m passionate about curriculum that nurtures artistic expression, technical skill, and student voice.
My research explores how approaches like TheoryU, New Metrics, and values-based education can transform music teaching—fostering artistry, embodiment, and deeper self-connection.
The events I host are invitations to gather, listen, reflect, and celebrate the music and humanity that connects us.
