Nate Daubert is a pioneering figure in the American sauna movement, blending global expertise, science, and tradition to redefine how people experience contrast therapy (alternating hot and cold treatments). His journey began in 2007 on a school trip to Germany, where he first encountered sauna culture. Later, as a U.S. Youth Ambassador living in Germany, he found solace in the sauna during a period of deep personal struggle. This transformative experience sparked a lifelong passion.
With a background in data science and UI/UX, Nate developed a keen ability to anticipate trends and create data-driven experiences. In 2019, he recognized that American sauna culture was on the cusp of change and dedicated the next five years to traveling across Europe, North America, and South America, visiting over 60 bathhouses to research what makes an exceptional sauna experience. His research culminated in 2024 when he became the first American to earn full certification as a Sauna Master from the Deutsche Sauna Akademie in Germany, mastering the science of sauna, physiological impacts, and the art of Aufguss.
