Natsuko is a Melbourne-based fashion designer and the founder of slow fashion brand Kodama Apparel. With over a decade of experience in fashion, garment development and dressmaking, her approach to design is grounded in quality craftsmanship, resourcefulness and sustainable practices.
Throughout her career, she witnessed firsthand the environmental impact of conventional fashion production, shaping a philosophy centred around making thoughtfully, using what already exists and finding creative value in materials that might otherwise go to waste.
Craft Together Studio is a separate creative venture born from Natsuko's love of making and sharing practical creative skills with others. With a zero-waste mindset at its heart, the studio explores a growing range of techniques and encourages participants to create, remake, repurpose and experiment with second-hand and off-cut materials wherever possible.
Through Craft Together Studio, Natsuko aims to create a welcoming space where people can slow down, learn something new, connect with others and rediscover the satisfaction of making something with their own hands, while developing a greater appreciation for craftsmanship, creativity and more sustainable ways of making.
