Nick J Harvey is a guitarist, recording artist, songwriter, producer and music educator with over 30 years of playing experience. He is the founder of Restart Guitar Academy and has taught guitar to students both in Australia and internationally.
A lifelong musician, Nick has spent decades playing, recording, producing and learning from other musicians and mentors. He is also the author of Rhythm Reset, a practical guide to improving timing, groove and confidence, and has created a series of real-drum practice tracks designed to help guitarists develop their rhythm in a more musical way.
After spending many years balancing music with a career in IT, Nick understands the challenges adults face when trying to learn or return to guitar while juggling work, family and everyday life.
His teaching focuses on practical progress, better rhythm and timing, confidence, good playing mechanics and giving students a clear path forward rather than overwhelming them with information.
Nick’s mission is simple: To help people rediscover the joy of making music and prove that it’s never too late to start again.
