Nina has been working in community arts in the Central Desert for a few years now and is completely obsessed with the creative, passionate community. Although she has squeezed in as much public art and photography as possible, her background is in architecture. While gratified by the social and environmental intersections. here she found herself making every essay as art related as possible, running life drawing events and costume parties.
On a road trip to the most inspiring landscape on earth, she found herself managing a lively art centre surrounded by it, but has taken time to call herself an artist. Now staunchly believing that everyone deserves the space to create, she is currently focusing on facilitating for the art-curious who struggle to get around to it (because she gets it). She mostly works with the most incredible kids, aboriginal groups and people with disability.
The connective, healing impacts of art are so exciting to her that she has had to hide her journal in the hours before bedtime. She is grateful, but almost exhausted to yearn so much to be learning about all things creativity and play, especially together. Thank you to all those who come along on the journey!
