These are small-scale ephemeral art events from independent production company, Alongside Radio.
Slide Nights re-imagine discarded images, curating them with an eye for story and pairing them with musical artists.
The result is an unpredictable, entirely human experience, with no imposed narrative - only the one the viewer creates from moment to moment.
This is not camera club. It's richer than that.
Relying on mid-century tech and decades-old images, we're all about the flaws and mysteries of our found materials.
From the nostalgia hit of a vivid 1964 Kodachrome slide (despite a slight lack of focus) — to a faded family group from '76 on Agfa film (ghostly faces somehow familiar); the inscrutable, the epic and the domestic live side by side here.
We aim to create relaxing evenings where everyone's welcome: daydreamers, photo enthusiasts, music lovers, adventurers and you.
For some, Slide Nights will draw on memory, or be an imaginative trip. Some will bust out their best shadow animals between sets.
Others might prefer to close their eyes and bathe in the stunning live music, the sound of the projector and time out of time.
Please get in touch if there's something we can do to accommodate your attendance (within the scope of the venue).
In the interests of ensuring an immersive experience, we ask you not to bring young children.
Thanks for your interest.
