Werte (hello) and Welcome to No Fixed Gallery!

We celebrate our artistic freedom and direct connection with you, our valued customers. Without the confines of traditional galleries, we express ourselves authentically and creatively, setting our own value for our work.

When you buy art from No Fixed Gallery, you are buying art that is ethically and independently produced by us. Profits are invested back into our business to create employment and education pathways for young ones in our community.

Our Story

No Fixed Gallery is an art and cultural experience business owned by Arrernte women Amunda Gorey and Myra Gorey Faletau based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs).

We grew up in the remote community of Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), about an hour southeast of Mparntwe (Alice Springs). In a time before fun and accessible technology, art was a way to express ourselves and keep ourselves entertained. In all its forms, art had always been encouraged by our family and community, and has remained central to our lives. We carry on this tradition at No Fixed Gallery by creating a safe space for our young ones to come and paint with us.

Our Mission: connection, conversation and understanding

At No Fixed Gallery, we believe that making art and acquiring art is a deeply personal experience and one that should be based on connection. With over 20 years of artistic experience, Amunda has been driven to establish genuine connections and conversations between herself, her art, and those who appreciate it. With her sister Myra, Amunda established No Fixed Gallery to create a sustainable and independent art business. We believe in preserving the artist-buyer relationship.

No Fixed Gallery is more than just a place to buy art; it's a space where conversations are sparked, and understanding is cultivated. Through our art and cultural experiences, we aim to create opportunities for dialogue, where participants can learn from each other, share stories, and deepen their appreciation for art and culture.
