The Noosa International Surfilm Festival (NISFF) is an annual celebration of surf, ocean and storytelling — set in the iconic coastal town of Noosa.
Each year, we bring together surf and ocean lovers, filmmakers and curious minds for a shared big-screen experience that honours the culture, creativity and spirit of the sea.
Expect a curated selection of bold surf films from around the world — inspiring shorts and feature documentaries that explore wave-riding, adventure and the lifestyles shaped by the ocean. Alongside surf cinema, our dedicated Ocean Films program showcases powerful stories of marine conservation, coastal communities and environmental impact, including recognition for outstanding environmental storytelling.
But NISFF is more than screenings.
It’s opening night buzz.
Filmmaker Q&As and in-depth conversations.
Live events and special guests.
Industry panels and creative exchange.
A welcoming space for connection.
Through GromShorts, our under-18 filmmakers showcase, we also champion the next generation of ocean storytellers — reinforcing our commitment to youth, mentorship and the future of surf culture.
You’ll sit in a cinema filled with people who love the ocean as much as you do. You’ll meet directors, photographers, surfers and changemakers. You’ll leave inspired — connected to story, community and coast.
NISFF is connection. Community. Coastal culture.
Come for the films. Stay for the stories.
