North Brighton Community Garden is a Community Garden within the local area of the Holdfast Bay Council. The purpose of this garden is to unite the community, promote physical and mental health and create a space where people can learn more about sustainability, organic principles and healthy living.
In this garden we grow great produce, nurture awareness for how our everyday actions and choices can benefit the world around us.
The garden:
Allow for different levels of participation (you may choose to stay involved via a mailing list, participate in the management of “shared community garden beds” or rent your own individual plot which enables you to plant your own choice of produce)
Educate members of the community of organic gardening, healthy food and lifestyle practices
Explore the diversity of edible and native plants and how they positively impact our ecosystem
