Northwest Maritime creates powerful maritime experiences to educate, inspire people to adventure, and celebrate maritime culture in Port Townsend and throughout Puget Sound.
Our campus is home to many of Port Townsend’s iconic events, including the Wooden Boat Festival, Race to Alaska, and SEVENTY48, along with classes and activities aimed to inspire and ignite adventure. Visitors can learn to sail in one of our many classes, build a boat in the Boatshop, cruise the local waters on a Port Townsend Bay tour, experience driving a large vessel (virtually) in our state-of-the-art ship simulator, or just explore the beautiful waterfront campus.
