Now Be Here began in 2016, when 733 women and non-binary artists gathered for the largest group photo of artists in Los Angeles at Hauser & Wirth Gallery. This became the first of four nationwide photographs documenting communities of women and non-binary artists. Subsequent events were held in New York and Miami in 2016, and Washington, D.C. in 2017. Since then, Now Be Here transitioned to an online platform that allows anyone to discover and connect directly with the national and international network of artists who have joined this community.
