Old Beach Berries is a small farm near Hobart.

Our approach to farming focuses on soil microbiology (the little critters in the ground, the jungle below our feet), biodiversity (lots of different plants, insects and animals), and ‘messiness’.

That means we’re completely spray-free, avoiding all herbicides and pesticides — organic or otherwise — keeping the microbiology and above ground creatures alive and thriving.

We are learning as we go. Our aim is to promote an interconnectedness across the entire farm.

We are trying to walk gently on the land. Every plant and insect has its place.

We’re not experts but are happy to have a chat if you’re interested.
