Ormond Drama is the student-run theatre society of Ormond College at the University of Melbourne, with a proud tradition of producing outstanding student theatre for generations. From classic plays to contemporary works and large-scale musicals, our productions bring together performers, musicians, designers, technicians and creatives from across the college community.
Recent productions include Chicago (2025), Into the Woods (2024), Spring Awakening (2023) and Everyman (2022), continuing a theatrical legacy spanning more than eight decades. Over the years, Ormond Drama has brought to the stage everything from I Killed the Count (1939), Faust (1964) and Lysistrata (1986) to City of Angels (2008), Beauty and the Beast (2010), Sunset Boulevard (2014) and Assassins (2016), reflecting a long-standing tradition of ambitious and diverse student theatre.
