Parkinson’s WA has a range of resources and services for our community. Founded in 1984, Parkinson’s WA is the peak body and not-for-profit organisation that represents more than 20,000 Western Australians affected by Parkinson’s, their families and carers, clinicians and researchers.

The organisation offers a Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist Service and a variety of Support Networks for people with Parkinson’s and their family carers, as well as educational resources and training for allied health professionals. The Parkinson’s Nurse Specialists (PNS) team covers the Metropolitan area and the South West, making home visits and assisting patients with management of the condition. The Nurse Specialist Service is community-based and person-centred, with most visits occurring in the client's homes at no cost to the client. The Nurses are employed to cover the Perth metro area. We have a team of Nurse Specialists in the South West including Inland/Coastal, covering regional areas in collaboration with health professionals.
