TMWF is now Peace in the Home Family Services
Many of you have known us as the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation, or TMWF. That name reflects our origins—founded in Texas, rooted in a Muslim community, and created to respond to a very real and urgent need.
From the very beginning, we have always supported survivors regardless of faith, background, or circumstance, and over time, our reach has grown.
Today, we support survivors and collaborate with partners across the country, serving individuals and families from all walks of life.
Peace in the Home Family Services reflects both the heart of our mission and the full scope of our services today. It speaks to what every survivor deserves—safety, dignity, and healing—no matter where they live or who they are.
While our name has evolved, our mission has not. We remain deeply committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence through safe housing, legal advocacy, long-term support, and pathways toward stability.
This change is not a departure from who we’ve been. Rather, it's an expansion of it. We honor our roots and move ahead with a name that welcomes everyone we serve and work alongside.
We are grateful to the community that has grown alongside us and made this evolution possible. Thank you for your trust, your support, and your belief in this work.
