This is an autobiographical play of a carer's journey in caring for his mother, who suffered from Vascular Dementia.

The Bakunawa comes from a Filipino folk tales about a sea dragon that rose up to the sky to ate the moons.

Here, the monster is used to symbolise the advance of Dementia as it "eats" the person's memories.
