what we do
The Play it Strange charitable trust was established in 2003, running competitions for young Kiwis to write, record and perform their original songs. We provide youth nationwide with a platform to express themselves through songwriting.
Over the last two decades, over 7,000 songs have been written and entered into our songwriting competitions. The Trust has provided more than 1,500 recording sessions for thousands of young songwriters to professionally record and release their songs.
The Play it Strange Trust (CC11342) is a registered charitable entity in terms of the Charities Act 2005.
