Plucked-string music from around the world!
What began as three musical friends sharing music that inspires them, grew into a joyous exploration of the wonderfully varied musics for plucked strings from around the globe. Hailing from diverse musical backgrounds, their members unite around a shared love of new horizons, improvised mischief and the well placed musical dad joke.
They are guests in the traditions they explore. Their mission: to travel with humility and playfulness, as far as their armada of pluckable instruments will carry them, through the myriad sonic worlds born of lumps of wood and bits of string.
Just as we are guests in the music we play, we also acknowledge that we are guests on the land where we work and play. We wish to pay our respects to the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nations who have sung, danced and stewarded this land for millennia.
