Pravah Trio creates contemporary improvised music drawing on three musical traditions. Their compositions range from intense, overwhelming, rhythmic explorations to soft, mesmeric, melody rich wanderings.
At each meeting Pravah Trio seeks to create new music, always starting with a simple idea, then expanding, adding and changing, being drawn along, celebrating both the uncertain and bold.
Pravah Trio is Simon Gill on Indian sitar, Mahzad Fard on Iranian tonbak and daf, and Tony Hole on new global instrument handpan.
