Quercus Beechworth is a much-respected community organisation and a proud member of the Australian Neighbourhood House Network of Victoria. With 4 part-time staff and over 80 volunteers, we welcome more than 600 visitors to our locations each week.
At Quercus, the community is encouraged to take part in a vibrant calendar of seasonal and ongoing classes, activities, and workshops.
Our community spaces are available for hire and regularly host a wide range of local groups and events — including Martial Arts, Dancing, Yoga, the Jobs & Skills Centre, Performing Arts — alongside our regular offerings such as the Repair Café, Flea Market, IT Helpdesk, Strength & Stretch classes and more.
Beechworth and its surrounding communities have a welcoming place to gather, learn, and connect.
The Quercus Community Garden is open year-round and invites you to visit, share, and enjoy seasonal produce at the Grow Free Stand — featuring fresh offerings from both our garden and generous community donations.
For those in need of extra support, Quercus offers caring, confidential assistance including free community meals, fresh food and pantry items, and practical help for individuals facing financial, emotional, or physical hardship. We also play an active role in supporting our community during local incidents or disasters.
Our two social enterprises — the Quercus Community Bookshop and Our Quercus Community Op Shop — generate essential funds that enable us to continue this work and give back even more to our community.
Quercus Beechworth is your community space — a place to come together to build, nurture, and inspire.
