The Office of Industry Engagement (OIE) works to assist researchers and research teams to facilitate and enhance interactions with industry, government and not-for-profit organisations.
Specifically, the Office of Industry Engagement supports QUT staff and HDR students to:
- identify and attract new industry partners to support research and research training initiatives
- protect and commercialise the university's intellectual property, including the negotiation of licensing agreements and university start-ups
- evolve existing relationships with industry partners to support research and research training
- manage, maintain and leverage relationships with key end-users.
