refugia projects is an emerging ecological design studio, based on Bundjalung Country in the northern rivers of nsw. our practice sits at the intersection of art, landscape design and environmental education. we work with people and plants to create refugia — places where wildlife can persist and flourish as the environment changes.
our events aim to contribute to a hopeful culture of active ecological restoration and more engaged relationships between people and local ecological communities. We also hold space for honest conversations about irreversible environmental change and offer opportunities to process ecological grief.
