The Resilience Project is a collective of 10 FNQ Female Artists, working on a group exhibition/community project "Resilience in the Face of Adversity", where they will interview 100 women on the tools strategies and resources they used in their toughest times and in response create artworks that will fill the whole of the newly developed Mulgrave Shire Gallery in Cairns.
The launch of this event will be in line with International Women's Day in 2025 and over the course of the exhibition workshops will be provided for the community to access for free every Saturday.
The resilience project is currently fundraising to pay for wages and resources to make this a successful event and to make this an accessible experience to everyone no matter what financial bracket, to focus on building, connection, resilience, sharing and learning wisdom and to create a fun time for all.
