The Right 2 Exist Festival is not just an event—it’s a survival portal, a political sanctuary, and a visionary gathering rooted in the sacred right of all beings to exist in dignity, truth, and liberation.
Born from resistance, the R2E Festival uplifts those most silenced, disappeared, and disinherited under empire: unhoused folks, Indigenous protectors, Black and Brown youth, queer and trans kin, undocumented neighbors, and all those erased by systems of capitalism, colonization, and control.
We are artists, medics, culture-bearers, organizers, and spiritual workers. We do not ask for permission to exist—we build new worlds.
Mission:
To gather our people across movements and lineages to protect our sacred right to exist—through art, mutual aid, political education, healing justice, and ceremony.
We exist to:
-
Center radical care over charity
-
Build reparative infrastructure outside the nonprofit-industrial complex
-
Activate abolitionist and decolonial futures
-
Restore soul and strategy to our organizing
What We Offer:
-
A full weekend of music, workshops, panels, mutual aid clinics, healing zones, & ceremony
-
Grounded space for organizers, activists, families, organizers, and creatives
-
No cops, no surveillance, no corporate sponsorships—only community accountability
Values We Live By:
-
Land Back, Housing First, Health for All
-
Consent is sacred.
-
The erotic is political.
-
Abolition is the baseline—not the ceiling.
-
We honor our ancestors and protect our descendants.
-
This festival is not content—it’s a consecrated field.
Organized By:
The R2E Collective—a coalition of local organizers, artists, healers, survivors, street medics, cultural workers, and political educators based on unceded Ohlone land (Oakland, CA).
