In 2019, Rough Magic was founded with one mission: to help those who wanted to play tabletop role-playing games but lacked the time to take on the role of a Game Master. Co-founders, Richard Costes and Christian Stokes, brought their considerable experience in the entertainment industry together, creating a company that would offer a wide-variety of in-person/online game options: learn-to-play sessions, long-term campaigns, one-shots for parties, and more.
Rough Magic was founded on the belief that our hobby is for everyone; everyone deserves a chance to feel welcome and accepted at the table no matter their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, or class. We are also committed to paying our Gamemasters a living wage for their time and expertise running games for us.
