Sally Neuberger, LCSW
Sally Neuberger, a licensed clinical social worker based in Maryland, has dedicated over two decades to supporting families and children in various capacities. Originating from Chicago, she brings a wealth of experience in maternal/child health and parenting programs. With a focus on preschool and elementary-aged children, particularly those with learning differences, Sally has honed her expertise in addressing developmental milestones, including the often challenging journey of potty training.
Driven by her experiences with motor and language delayed preschoolers who struggled with potty training, Sally developed a unique approach that has since evolved to benefit both typical and developmentally ready youngsters. Her innovative method, known as READY SET GO-POTTY: Potty Training in a Weekend, has garnered attention for its comprehensive, logical, and fun approach to toilet training.
What sets READY SET GO-POTTY apart is its recognition of two distinct developmental windows in a child's potty training journey. Sally advocates waiting for the second window, typically around a child's third birthday, when all developmental milestones are in place for swift and independent potty success. Her approach emphasizes patience, humor, and a shift from director to cheerleader, empowering parents to guide their children towards mastery of this essential skill.
As a seasoned clinician, Sally not only provides counseling support to families facing potty training challenges but also conducts professional workshops on child development topics, including behavioral issues and anxiety in young children. Her commitment extends beyond workshops; she offers weekend coaching sessions to families embarking on the READY SET GO-POTTY journey, ensuring a supportive and successful experience.
With a passion for empowering parents and fostering strong connections between them and their children, Sally Neuberger continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families through her private practice and educational initiatives.
