Sarah Shea is a 500-hour Certified Yoga Teacher living in Bethlehem, PA. She began teaching in 2019 at a hot yoga studio and currently teaches at a variety of private yoga boutiques and gyms.
Having trained for one month in Mysore, India, she is able to teach Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. In her classes (many labeled "All Levels," "Power," or "Gentle"), she lets students use props, helps them modify to their levels of flexibility, and always touches on the importance of mindfulness. Yoga goes beyond the physical body. Sarah wants to ensure her students never forget that, so incorporating Pranayama and meditation into her sessions is normal.
Beyond her weekly schedule, she regularly partners with local businesses to bring about unique yoga experiences. Making yoga as accessible as possible, she hopes that a little alcohol, or a goat, or a even a kitten might convince people to take a class that they may normally find too boring, too exclusive, or too expensive. The important part for her is that she can introduce people to the long-lasting positive effects yoga can have on one's life - maybe even to the point that the additives (no matter how adorable!) will no longer be needed.
Sarah's first yoga retreat was held at Stonehedge Gardens in Tamaqua, PA with the theme of becoming your own bliss. She wants to expand on this idea during her retreat in 2025 by helping others tap into the sides of themselves that may go dormant when getting overwhelmed with the bustle of everyday life. This will be Sarah's first overseas retreat!
