An accomplished operations leader and progressive change agent, Scott Gauvin has been helping C-suite executives better capitalize on the value of their business, reduce complexity and successfully execute to their vision for over 25 years.
From startups to the Fortune 500, Scott has partnered with clients the world over and across a wide range of industries including pharma, biotech, consumer goods, medical devices, agriculture, packaging, legal service, banking, food processing, wastewater infrastructure and industrial manufacturing.
Central to his efforts supporting client growth, transformation, and operational excellence, is a keen understanding of the impact employee and organizational behavior have on performance. To that end, Scott encourages his clients to expand the scope of their interventions beyond surface level process fixes, to also address the cultural, structural and governance factors that give rise to operational pain, undermine change efforts and threaten sustainability.
Scott particularly enjoys counseling client organizations in transition, helping guide them through the interconnected changes towards innovating underperforming business models to improve market opportunity, developing operational strategies that improve positioning, and aligning organizational structure and governance to support his client’s performance goals.
Prior to becoming a business management consultant, Scott worked for several manufacturing companies, ran an international adventure travel company and worked as a business management consultant in the tech space specializing in systems design and architecture. A large part of the work Scott has engaged in over the recent years is in the field of behavioral science, better understanding the conditions and factors of human change and how the brain processes information to change. As a result, he has developed several models, methods and systems that help clients better visualize the cultural and systematic changes that need to occur to achieve transformative results.
He holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts, an MBA from Boston University and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. Scott is also a frequent speaker and has presented for the American Society of Quality, The Shingo Conference, The Association for Manufacturing Excellence, Fabtech, Vistage, Boston University School of Management and California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo among others.
