Hi, I'm Shirley, an award-winning artist and jeweller based in Adelaide, specialising in contemporary jewellery, glass art, and creative workshops.
Over the past five years, I've had the pleasure of facilitating more than 1,000 participants through fun, hands-on, beginner-friendly jewellery workshops. I love helping people discover the joy of making something with their own hands, whether it's their very first creative experience or they're looking to build new skills. My workshops are designed to be relaxed, supportive, and inspiring, with clear step-by-step guidance to help everyone create a piece they're proud of.
Alongside teaching, my artistic practice explores themes of transmigratory experiences, holistic healing, and meditative processes through jewellery, glass, installation, performance, video, and audio. I hold a Master of Design (Contemporary Art) from the University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Arts in Jewellery & Accessories from Middlesex University, England.
I'm honoured to have received the 2025 Adelaide Fringe Best Workshops & Talks Award, along with the Pilchuck Glass School Scholarship (2024) and the Brighton Jetty Emerging Artist Award (2022). Whether you join me in my Adelaide CBD studio or at one of my regional workshops, I look forward to welcoming you and helping you create something meaningful to wear and treasure.
