Rev. Silvia Purdie lives in Upper Hutt with her husband, an Army Chaplain. She writes, researches and teaches extensively in the areas of climate mental health, theology and ministry, and professional supervision. 

Her published books include: Awhi Mai Awhi Atu: Women in Creation Care, and Moving On: Grief in Ministry Transitions.
